what weapons can character use in fantasy stories (APART FROM SWORDS)?

I'm in a bit of a riddle.

When I began writing my story (which STILL doesn't have a proper name), I was, what, 11? 12? I wasn't very creative, and just stuck the antagonist with the name 'Apoca' and left it like that, reminding myself to change it to something more original later on . And over the last 3 years I haven't bothered to change it, and it's sorta... stuck.  And that's a problem.

The name is SO cliché (you know- APOCAlypse? APOCAlyptic?).

The problem is, every name I change it to doesn't seem to sit right with me. I've got so used to calling the antagonist 'Apoca'. The annoying thing is, I've actually spent time fleshing out 'Apoca's backstory and given him motivations, instead of being your average lord-of-darkness bad guy who never seems to have a motive for being so evil and nasty (other than to setup an opposition to the good guy). So what I've landed with is an okay antagonist but a generic nasty name : (
